When your parking lot has to withstand severe duty, you need a lot of asphalt!  What you see below is the beginning of a 6 inch thick parking lot on top of 12 inches of crushed rock!  So much asphalt was required, we had to bring out two pavers to get the job done.  The job was completed in multiple compacted layers.
