Petro-tac is an unique peel and stick, rubberized paving fabric asphalt composite membrane. Petro-tac acts as a moisture barrier as well as a stress absorbing membrane inter-layer. It is used in pavement maintenance to treat joints and cracks before overlay placement.  In common terms, Petro-tac creates a bridge over existing cracks in pavement; preventing the crack from forming in the new surface.   We recommend installing Petro-tac on any project where asphalt pavement is being resurfaced.  Petro-tac is extremely effective in eliminating reflective cracking.  Petro-tac can be installed on asphalt driveways, asphalt roads, asphalt parking lots, and even over concrete expansion joints (in the case of an asphalt overlay).
